These terms cover your use of the Rollie app and website. Rollie is operated by Shakil Choudhury, trading as Rollie, in England. Contact support@rollieapp.com with questions.
Who can use Rollie
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rollie. Keep your sign-in codes private. Use an email account that you control.
Rollie helps you keep personal relationship notes and follow up with people. We give you permission to use the app for lawful personal use, subject to these terms and your app store's rules.
Your notes and responsibilities
Your content remains yours. You give us permission to process it only as needed to provide the functions you use, as described in the privacy policy.
Respect other people's privacy and rights when you record or share information about them. Do not use Rollie for unlawful surveillance, harassment, or other unlawful activity. Do not try to access another person's account or disrupt the service.
You are responsible for checking names, facts, and dates. Suggestions and recaps can contain errors. Rollie does not provide medical, legal, or other professional advice.
Local storage and availability
Relationship data is stored on your device. Rollie does not sync it between devices or keep a backup of it on our servers. Losing or clearing the device can cause data loss.
You can save an encrypted copy as a file and keep it somewhere you choose, such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive. You are responsible for keeping that file safe. Rollie stores its encryption key with your account, but does not receive the file.
To restore a copy, sign in to the same Rollie account on a device where that account has no people or notes. The device needs an internet connection to download the key the first time. A key already saved on that device can be used offline.
Account deletion removes the key from our servers, so it cannot be downloaded again to restore your copies. Another device may still have a saved key that can open them. Delete any copies you no longer want. See the account deletion page for details.
Core functions work offline after setup. Sign-in, purchases, and online processing need a connection. Online functions can be interrupted or unavailable. Keep another copy of information you cannot afford to lose.
Free use and Plus
Rollie offers free functions and an optional Plus subscription with a larger monthly processing allowance. The app shows the current allowance. Your store shows the price, billing period, and any trial terms before you confirm a purchase.
A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through the store under its terms. If an eligible trial is offered, the purchase screen explains when payment starts. Cancel before the store's renewal deadline to avoid the next charge.
Manage subscriptions and request refunds through the store where you purchased them. Deleting the app or your Rollie account does not cancel a subscription. These terms do not remove your statutory refund rights.
Ending your use
You can stop using Rollie at any time. Follow the account deletion steps to remove your account.
We may restrict online access if you misuse the service or if the law requires it. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and how you can contact us about the decision.
Our responsibility to you
We must provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.
Your statutory consumer rights remain in place. These terms do not make you responsible for losses caused by our failure to meet our legal duties.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. We will update the date on this page and give appropriate notice of material changes.
The laws of England and Wales govern these terms. Any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live remain in place. You can bring a claim in any court available to you under those protections.
